Thank you for visiting Vom Leibwächter Dobermanns!
I started in Dobermans with my first sport dog SDA Delmira Cuendillar, training and titling in IGP. Cuendillar, and the breed, quickly found a special place in my heart. In 2017 after 9 months of research I found my next phenomenal Doberman through a German working line breeder. I was placed on the waiting list when pregnancy was confirmed, 15 weeks later, in March 2018, Egwene von Engelhardt arrived in the USA!
Over the years I've dedicated hundreds of hours to researching pedigrees, developing an understanding of the health issues Dobermans are prone to, and learning to evaluate structure, drives, and temperament. My breeding goals are to:
- Develop a line with above average health and longevity that will help preserve and improve the breed for future generations
- Develop a line of Dobermans that conforms to the written breed standard, has functional structure and places well in the show ring
- Develop a line that has appropriate temperament and drives, not only for the original purpose of the breed, but also strong enough to compete at the higher levels in performance sports and bite sports (IGP, French Ring, Mondio Ring, PSA, etc)
